I have good faith that this loctest *might* pull through! My local R1 desperately needs a new maimai cab - it’s literally on half a life now as the left side of the cab is dead. But I’m hoping that this loctest will succeed over the old one from 2017 since this time they have a much better song selection and the cabs are online.

I'm trying to mod my pad but I'm in the prototyping phase experimenting with making multiple FSRs out of one strip like in the video, but its not working for me (registering near-max force from just existing or not registering any force at all) unless I put the equivalent of a clothespin firmly holding the jumper cables together (along with the tape) at the correct position (otherwise the FSR will detect values over 900 out of 1000). The FSR I have looks different and I did exactly as the video showed but it wasn't as easy as I thought. Spent an hour experimenting, rather worth it considering I don't work with electronics this way at all. But I have to wonder if other people have more information as to why the glitches mentioned in the first parenthesis happen to begin with.
